Early Childhood Collaborative Team Profiles

TADPOLE Team Profiles – March, 2007

Early Childhood Collaborative teams are a group of people at the local level who work together to insure smooth transitions for young children, their families and the agencies serving them. While the membership varies from one community to another, typical Early Childhood Collaborative team members include representatives of families, WV Birth to Three, Early Head Start/Head Start, Public School System, Child Care and other community partners such as Family Resource Networks (FRNs), Starting Points, Health Department, Right From the Start, Educare, etc. Every county has a team such as this. Some refer to them as Early Childhood Collaborative teams. Some refer to them by other names such as TADPOLE, Interagency Council, Early Childhood Committee of the FRN, and so on.

The following provides information on what some of these teams are doing - both their accomplishments and their plans for the coming year. Information is also provided so that you can contact these teams to exchange ideas and share resources. The teams identified here were participants in Early Childhood Collaborative Team Trainings or Networking Sessions since 2001 or have responded with the profile update form. If your team would like to take part in a future Early Childhood Collaborative Team Training, contact the WV Early Childhood Training Connections and Resources at 1/888/983-2827.
